We dropped by the Doctor Who studio in Cardiff just before The Ponds wrapped on their final episodes to talk with Karen Gillan about Community’s (NBC) Doctor Who-spoof “Inspector Spacetime”.

We’re rooting for you, or at least I certainly am. Moffat wouldn’t cast you if he didn’t see something brilliant in you, and I’m at the edge of my seat awaiting his vision. You’re going to love Matt and the TARDIS, don’t let the fans get to you. Some of us haven’t gotten over Sarah Jane leaving the first time yet, but we’re crazy like that. Amy’s life lines up with major dates in Who History.
Born in 1989, the year Classic Who ended.
Met the Doctor in 1996, the year of Paul McGann.
Reunited with him in 2008 and 2010, the last season of David and the first season of Matt, respectively.
Various plot points line up with premieres and finales. Her Wedding, Lake Silencio, the Cornfield, etc.
They were reunited again in the year 2013, the 50th Anniversary year.
Anyone else think Moffat is a clever bastard?
